Waleska

Waleska is a small town located in Cherokee County, Georgia. It is so named for Warluskee, the daughter of a local Cherokee chief who lived in the area and was removed during the Trail of Tears. Visitors to the area are invited to experience the Funk Heritage Center, Georgia's Official Southeastern Indian and Pioneer Interpretive Center located on the campus of Reinhardt University in the heart of the city.
